I create personal films rooted in self-discovery.
My current creative practice explores themes of self-recognition, identity, and perception. My work focuses on moving away from performance and towards presence, using moving image, alongside painting, music-making and improvisation, influenced by a range of contemporary artists and ideas to explore internal states and ways of experiencing/relating/connecting. I aim to develop work that encourages awareness of creative processes and supports a deeper understanding of how meaning is constructed through making.
Alongside my own practice, I work as an editor and self-shooting filmmaker for clients.
My most recent personal projects are featured below — these feel most representative of where my work is now. In particular, Birds Talk to Humans All the Time (2024), linked directly beneath, is one I’m especially keen for you to see.
